About The Museum
Tucked away in the picturesque village of St-Georges, the Winnipeg River Heritage Museum overlooks the river on land donated by Alphonse Vincent, a descendant of the region’s French homesteaders. Re-established after a devastating fire in 2014, the museum collects family memories and community stories, as it has for generations, to reveal the history of the Winnipeg River and its communities.
